It is the Certosa di Maggiano, an ancient monastery with contemporary vibrations where design, tradition and nature coexist in total harmony.

The history of the Certosa di Maggiano is as eclectic as its interiors. The doors of the Certosa were opened to welcome travelers in search of spirituality and refuge. A model of hospitality that has been embraced and maintained in the following centuries.

In the late 1960s, Oscar-nominated set designer and architect Renzo Mongiardino was hired to harness the historical tenor of the place while creating a worldly sanctuary. With the use of bright colors, eclectic motifs and a touch of genius to intrinsically decorate every corner of the property, he managed to harmoniously bring together ancient and modern, tradition, design and nature, making the property unique as we know it today.

The Certosa is now managed by Vieri Michelagnoli and Gaia Marconi. Accomplices both in life and in work, the couple blends his thirty years of experience in the hotel business with the creativity and aptitude of her hospitality, reflecting a kaleidoscopic passion in the management of the Certosa.
